The Reliable Cheese Company has a sign up on the door of their new digs at 405 East Chapel Hill Street, saying they'll be open for business tomorrow, 16 June 2011. Their space is just down from Rue Cler. I guess that means you can soon pick up a loaf at Rue Cler, get cheese just down the street, and scarf them together. :)
SHUT THAT BLOODY BAZOUKI OFF!

Is it the cheese or the company that's reliable?

Long ago I did a downtown Scavenger hunt whose clue kit included a Foster's Market business card for "Cris Rivera: The Big Cheese". When the competitors went to Foster's to find Cris, she'd interrupt her vendor duties, hand the competitors a Monty Python script, and force them act out the Cheese Shop skit for a few lines before giving them their next clue.
Here's a Monty Python -live performance- of the skit:

@Joe: did you ever visit San Francisco's 24th St. Cheese Shop a few blocks from your old home on Army St.? I'm told it recently closed.
@David: Clifton Fadiman's quote suggests that it's at least the cheese: ("Cheese - milk's leap toward immortality.")
