My husband is gluten-sensitive, but doesn't have full blown Celiac's disease. Makes us pay attention to that kind of thing, though.

Kitty: Can't say I agree with Mr. Cardone. I also know people who, while not having sprue, do have some problem with gluten. I know a gastroenterologist who backs me up on that. Clearly people shouldn't eat things that bother them.
I'm also glad that the jury fried Mr. Paul Evan Seelig's ass with 11 years in prison.
That said, I imagine there are a lot of people out there who don't understand what celiac disease/sprue is, and are avoiding gluten out of some errant generalized concern that gluten must be bad for people. It's as if everyone quit eating cheese because of the real lactose intolerance some people have. But I'm not going to tell someone else what to eat. More for me, you see. ;)
