Back in '94 I flew to the Philippines on a trip that included an layover in Seoul. One of the guys I had dinner with ordered a Budweiser with his dinner, and was surprised to discover (after calculating the currency exchange) how much he'd paid. "$6 for a Budweiser? I should have ordered an import!" Replied the chorus: "You did."
@Georg - hahahahahaha! But that would have been a CUP of draft beer.

No, I was at a restaurant. Alcohol prices out have been going up and up and up for a while. I think $6 for a beer is just too fucking much, even if I do like the beer. And it's not like this was Samichlaus on tap. Oh, and the place in question doesn't have prices posted. That's another pisser-offer -- having to ask how much something is. That's what the menu is for, dammit.

Well, Sean &c. are doing their part: "Today and Sunday: El Toro cream ale in a 20-ounce imperial pint for $4."

Yeah, but you'll snark on us when we offer a 10-ounce pour of foraged fruit beer for $8!

Sean -- that depends on what the beer tastes like. ;)

A draft pint of IPA from Triangle Brewery will set you back $7.25 at Revolution.

pretty sure all the drafts at watts are six bucks each. that just is overpriced no way around it. especially when the majority of the time you get a pour that stops significantly short of the top of the glass. I would bet that I'm not the only one who eats there less as a result, or if I do eat there I stick to one pint instead of two. they'd make more money on beer sales by reducing price to five a pint.
