I'm out of Durham for a week or two, some of the time in areas without reputations for things culinary. If I find anything interesting, I'll let you know. Or maybe I'll have time for useless blather. OTOH, as little as I've been posting, maybe no one'd notice if I just kept my mouth shut. :)
Happy travels. I hope you have good and/or at least interesting times wherever you go. I'm sure you'll find some interesting food moments, if not necessarily big ones. I used to think there weren't any places in the world where one couldn't find good food if one tried hard enough. I no longer believe this is true :-)

If you can't find any remarkably GOOD food where you are these days, Joe, you can amuse us by reporting any remarkably BAD food you encounter!
Traveling to Dothan, AL, I accompanied a coworker to a Mexican restaurant. She was not as bothered as I was (probably because she wasn't PG and could therefore enjoy a margarita) that most of the items were served with what sure tasted like Ragu spaghetti sauce from the jar. Confusing, at best.

If you tell me where you're going, I can give you tips. (you know I'm a pro at this)
