YASB

YASB:  An acronym for Yet Another Sports Bar: typically noisy "restaurants" with mediocre food where one can't escape watching television.  The ubiquitous TVs are usually turned to sports channels, but one occasionally sees Spike TV, The Man Show, the news (rarely), or maybe the Weather Channel if the weather is bad.  There will be beer, especially cheap, bad beer, with lots of AFL.  A "good" sports bar is one with lots of comely, scantily-clad waitresses who can get big tips when the drunken male football fans are too cheap to go another type of establishment, or at least to Hooters.  A bad sports bar has, in the words of Homer Simpson, "No beer and no TV."
