For local folks: I need to buy a used table somewhere. I've tried Peters, TROSA, and Pennies for Change. Next up: Salvation Army and Goodwill, if I can get there when they're open. I'd like something kinda like a sideboard -- narrowish and long, at counter height. Any suggestions?
For mostly non-local folks: If any of you were in that APA with me and have a copy of the "Official Sherry Schedule" that you can easily get to and photocopy, can you make me a copy? Mine has become misplaced. I know I have another copy, but it's in storage, and not going to see daylight for a while. I no longer have the original. :(
Anyone know where Peters Design Works has moved to? The store on 619 Foster has closed, right? Maybe I should just call them, but it is the 4th of July and a Sunday.
I don't technically live in the same neighborhood anymore, having moved all of 2 blocks south of the dividing line. But both Duke Park and Old North Durham are great places to live.
I was at Bull McCabe's tonight, wearing the "Major Durham" shirt: the shirt I made using the sepia-toned picture I took of "Major" with the CCB Building in the background. (It's the picture in the sidebar.) Probably about 10 people seemed interested in the shirt, and several asked me how to get one. Well, this works:
Personally, I think that the light tan or "natural" shirt looks the best, given the way the sepia-toned picture's sky melds with the shirt color. But that's just me.
If you want one that says "Durham: It's Not Just For Breakfast Anymore" on the back, make sure you get one that has double-sided printing. I think the shirts are expensive, but that's CafePress, not me: I don't mark them up a penny.
And, for your amusement, the entire set of photos I shot (crappy exposures and all) are at Tabblo in a set called "The Bull Monty."
