If you've been waiting on me for something social or the like, and I haven't responded, I apologize. I think I've had the croup maybe three times since the beginning of the year. I imagine I'll get better eventually, but right now it's just frustrating.

Croup? Are you Laura Ingalls Wilder or something?
(actually, I know of a child who died of that...be careful and get thee some Prednisone)

No I don't actually have croup: I just basically felt like crap since the beginning of the year, including 3 rounds of some sort of respiratory crap.

I was going to say, "The real croup, like something from the 50s?" (but I was thinking 1950s, and it's probably more like something from the 1850s). Glad to hear it is not THE croup, but respiratory crap doesn't sound particularly appealing either. Do you have any health insurance right now? I've got some "tussicaps" (described by the doctor as NyQuil without the Nyquil hangover). They were useful during my last cold thing.

I'm not actually coughing that much; wouldn't mind coughing more if the stuff would come up. When I went to the dr. (no, no health insurance), I mentioned that I hadn't tried guaifenesin yet and probably should have. Instead, he put me on an antibiotic (some of what I was coughing up seemed purulent) and (as Laura suggested above) some Prednisone. But that was finished a week or so ago.
