Vista SP1: To patch, or not to patch?

M$ is going to be releasing over 300 slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, labeled Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1:

The list [of fixes] can be downloaded as a 47-page document that the company says is not exhaustive [emphasis mine]. Microsoft plans to add more fixes and patches to Windows Vista SP1 before a final version is released to the public early next year.

The "RC" stands for "release candidate," which means they're sticking it out there in the hopes of finding problems before they actually name it Service Pack 1.
