I hope they give this guy the death penalty. Oh wait, they can't do that. Can the gummint say he's a terrorist because of all the spam he's responsible for? Then maybe they could fry his @#$.
Seriously, I like the tack of "You defrauded the people to whom you sold your bogus marketing spam tools." And hacking over 2,000 other machines -- well, if he were to get separate counts on each one of those, but I guess that isn't going to happen either. A 2,000 machine network, hijacked or not, is a big network. I do hope they lock him up for a long while. Assuming he's guilty. :)
