The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a frost advisory... which is in effect from 2 am to 8 am EDT Friday. Areas of light frost will occur by early Friday morning across the northeast Piedmont and the northern half of the coastal plain in central North Carolina. A frost advisory means that frost is possible. People with cold sensitive outdoor plants should take action to prevent frost damaging from occurring.

A record high temperature of 86 degrees was set at Raleigh-Durham international Airport today. This breaks the previous record for March 28th of 84 degrees... last set in 1945. The normal high temperature at the Raleigh Durham international Airport for March 28th is 66 degrees.
We've been having record highs for like a week, running around 20 degrees above normal.
