My good friend MJ Sharp is having a display at her studio of a recent series of photographs. The show, called "Through A Glass, Darkly," is a collection of what she calls "nighttime botanicals." She also calls them "spooky flowers" and "nice pictures of plants." :) Having seen some of her work (and also being present for her shooting my peonies), I can absolutely swear that I like it. ;) MJ was the staff photographer for Durham's Independent for a number of years. She's also one of only four people whose art adorns my rather bare walls.
MJ's show is in conjunction with the Durham Art Walk, sponsored by the Durham Arts Council . Hours are Saturday, 13 November 2004 from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm. If you're a friend and interested in a preview, let me know. I believe some things will be for sale.
