My car was vandalized last night. This was the second incident since the beginning of the year. I was so pissed off after the first one that I let the car sit, untouched, for 6 months, and finally had to have it towed about 10 days ago: our street was being paved. That car (the 1965 Mustang) is still at a garage.
This morning, I expected to get up, take some pills (I'm sick), and lie around reading. About 9:30 I looked out my window and noticed my other car (the 2002 Mustang) looked very strange. I went outside and discovered some sort of oily glop had been dumped over most of the driver's side, with more on the hood, wheels, &c. A glance down the street showed a neighbor's car was almost totally covered. Apparently, someone discovered some road tar left behind by the paving crew and decided to decorate cars with it. My day of sick time off from work turned into a trip to a car detailing shop. $90 and 2 hours later, I was presented with a beautiful looking car. A little tar had seeped down inside the window and a few other places, but I was very happy with the cleanup job.
